A couple days ago I tried my hand at making chiles rellenos for the first time - Stuffed Chile Peppers. They are just about one of my favorite Mexican foods and since my friend, Isela, had given me a wonderful demonstration at her house complete with eating the delicious chiles to prove she's a pro, I decided to try it. Besides that, I was hungry for them.
You need to know what you're doing (which I don't) but it was fun anyway. It took me forever to make 3 stuffed peppers but the end result was worth it.
Enjoy the pics!

My goodness! You are making me want to make our flight reservations to come see you. :) David would be in heaven about like I imagine Brian felt with all that delicious authentic mexican food. I need to find a friend from Italy for the kids though. ha
Love, Martha G
Oh my word, Melodie. I want you to make those when we are able to come down to see you. Yum! They look delicious. I remember you telling me how to do them and that you were going to try it sometime. Yay! You did it. They look awesome!!
Love you and miss you...Missy
OK, those look good. I'm sure Shane would be salivating if he saw these. Very interesting pics. Thanks for sharing!

Great job, Melodie, those look like A LOT of work, but look delicious! We'll be right over. =)
Just wanted you to know that I went to Leanna's blog and saw all of the pics from Janella's trip, how fun! It was fun to see the inside of your home, and see y'all, and your churches, etc. I even heard the 2 video clips of you and the other lady singing a special in church...and your Spanish sounds great! =)
Have a wonderful day in Jesus,
Love, Heather
I must say those look delicious!!! I think you should have tried them last week:)love Janella
Yum Melodie, those look sooooooo good. Is that pasta in with cooked burger? WOW, that is a must have the next time I come to visit. HA! Love, Vonnie
Vonnie, the mixture is hamburger with diced potatoes. I stuffed the peppers with cheese slices along with this mixture. Next time I do it, I'll probably do some with cheese only - they eat them that way alot. The potato/meat mixture gives them a little more substance, and the leftover peppers make a great foil-wrapped lunch the next day!
Love,
Melodie
Oh Yum!!! You're making me hungry.
I'm really missing you right now.
Oh my word...that is so cool that Isela left a comment. Of course, I am going to need a translation, but that is really neat. 8-) It is nice to have good friends. And I know that she has been a good friend to you...for which I am very thankful. I could so very much eat some of that chicken stuff she made when we were there last June. Maybe you could learn how to make that too for when we are able to visit. lol! Love you so much and miss you badly...MM

Yum, Yum, I need to try these. I actually ate something similiar at Casa Brava here recently and it was good. It was a hot pepper... are the ones you use hot?
I made homemade tortillas the other day for the first time... I really enjoyed it. God bless your ministry!!!
Love,
Kim
