Magnetix and Multiplication

Logan - 3rd grade - has been needing some extra practice with his multiplication tables, so yesterday we invited his friend, Joy - 4th grade - over for a Multiplication/Magnetix Activity. They had so much fun designing their magnetix figures all the while learning and drilling those multiplication facts. Here's a couple pics of them.

Medical update: Logan saw his Infectious Disease specialist yesterday. Last week's CT scan showed some swelling behind his eye but because of the specific way the scan was done, the results weren't completely satisfying to the specialist. He decided to order an MRI to get a better look. Logan was taken for the MRI at 5:15 yesterday afternoon. He was a brave little guy, enduring yet another "stick" to inject the contrast fluid and being put in an MRI machine - something else new and unfamiliar. Marc was able to stay right with him and hold his hand and Logan held amazingly still while the technicians were able to get exactly the pictures they needed. The plan is to meet the doctor again next week in his office to discuss the results of this test.

A few more details were made clear yesterday regarding our Share Support Tour this summer and fall as they relate to Logan's health. If he has to stay on the medications, the doctor and pharmacy are going to work with us to help us receive the medication in Indiana or wherever we may be. We are thankful for Dr. Loja and Dr. Linsangan (husband and wife) who have seen this situation through, even during a medical emergency in their own family.

Please continue to pray for Logan - we are still believing that God can completely heal him and remove whatever is causing this swelling behind his eye. He is still pain-free - we are so glad for that.

Oh almost forgot - we had a Skyline party (with hoarded cans of chili that our family and friends have sent us) last night with Stetlers - delicious - it's Logan's favorite meal!

Thank you for updating for us. We have been praying for you all. It is amazing how many people are praying for Logan. I found out yesterday that Cameron Miller (Mike's son) requests prayer for Logan every morning at school when they are having their morning prayer together as a school. Isn't that neat? BTW...the food makes me want to drive to Columbus (nearest skyline to us) just so we can eat at skyline. Love you...

I have never had Skyline chili, it must be pretty good from all the rave reviews I've heard about it! Guess that goes on the list of 'new foods to try'!
Praying that everything turns out good for Logan and that you can continue with your travel plans this summer.

What a FUN way to do math! I think Logan is such a special, brave boy! Needlesticks are often hard on "grown up" people...let alone "little people"! I have had an MRI in the past....it is a bit scary. I am so glad that Marc could stay with him! Sounds like ya'll are getting such good medical care...that is a blessing! I appreciate the update. We are trusting God for Logan's healing! Take care and God bless!(Gotta love "Skyline"! Yummy!)

I sure pray that you will get a good report about Logan! We missed your sweet singing at IHC this year. I like to hear you sing. Oh well ... the other singing was good too. If you do deputation in Indiana, let us know! It would be fun to have you come. Keep encouraged in Jesus,
Angie E.

Melodie,
Thanks for praying for us... looks like you all need prayer as well! All those scans! Ron's been through so many of those! Poor Logan! Hopefully they will get this problem resolved quickly, or perhaps the Lord will heal him... stay strong!
