We are cautiously optimistic tonight. It is obvious to us that the Lord is touching Logan in direct result to prayer on his behalf. He is looking so much better: very little discoloration and very little swelling. Apparently the new antibiotic along with the steroids he's on now to reduce swelling is working. The doctors assured us this morning that with such a deep tissue infection, time and the proper medicine is the best course of action to fight this. We hope to be able to bring him home from the hospital tomorrow and finish the 2 week course of IV antibiotics at home.
Sad to say, the 5 of us will not be going on the Sankey Family Trip to Guatemala and Honduras that is to kick off Monday morning. We are incredibly sad about it, but we know that without a doubt Logan's health is the most important of the two - we all agree on that. I guess we'll just have another South Texas Thanksgiving!
Thank you for praying and to so many of you for taking time to let us know you're praying - it means so much.

Thank the Lord that He is touching Logan. We are PRAYING HARD for him and for his family too. =)
So sorry that your trip had to be canceled, I'm sure y'all (and the rest of the Sankey family) are very disappointed!! I'm trusting that Logan continues to recover and that y'all have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving together in TX.
Still praying,
Love, Heather =)
We are so sorry that you all can't be with us on the trip. It won't be the same without you. Mom said she didn't even want to go without Melodie because Melodie was so excited about this trip for so long. But it is true, Logan comes first. He has to get better. That is the most important thing. We will be able to do this again sometime, Lord willing. We love you very much and are still praying for God to touch Logan and heal him quickly and completely!!
We are disappointed, but soldiering on!
We are so thankful that God has touched Logan. Village Park in Westfield, IN prayed for him tonite in our revival service (Bro. and Sis. Sams are with us). We are so sorry you can't go on your family trip. God has a perfect plan and we can rest in the assurance He doeth all things well! Continuing to pray for all of you! God Bless You!
I know you're incredibly disappointed, both about Logan's condition and about the trip. I can empathize with you at least a little, having missed a trip or two for similar reasons. We prayed for Logan and you guys in our service in Trenton, NJ, on Friday evening (see my blog) and will try to remember to do so again on Sunday.
We have been praying for you. I am so thankful Logan is better. Bro Sankey you told us many times "when you can see HIS hand you can trust his heart!" ~~Love Paul, Sarah, Paul III and Jessica.
We are so glad the Lord is touching Logan. We are still praying.
We will continue to pray for Logan...we are so sorry that you all are having to go through this trial. Wish that we could make everything better! Sorry about the trip, too! Hope that you can feel the prayers and love that everyone is sending your way!
