Very late Valentine's post

Yes, it's very late but I have to brag on my incredibly sweet, resourceful, thoughtful husband. We spent this Valentine's day apart. I was here in Texas, caring for Logan and he was in Hobe Sound, Florida preaching Sea Breeze Camp. I was very proud of myself for secretly mailing a card to Florida to be delivered to him on Valentine's Day. He went above and beyond, let me tell you. Valentine's Day dawned with sweet emails and text messages wishing me a happy day and thanking me for being his valentine. We talked by phone a couple times, and he wished me the same again.
Then I received a phone call about 4 pm from the front desk here telling me a package had just been delivered for me. Tamra was here visiting at the time. She and I walked up to the front of the campus to pick up what I assumed was a care package for Logan. I was oblivious. Even after I had the box in my hands, I still thought it was for Logan. Tamra suggested that it might be for me since it said Vermont Teddy Bear on the side of the box. I replied that someone probably sent Logan a cute teddy bear as a get well wish. Then it hit me - I bet this is from Marc!! No way - how did he do this? We almost ran back to the apartment, opened the box and here's what I found.

Adorable, isn't he? Yes, his bow tie says I love you in Spanish. A personalized love note was included, with a heart shaped box of assorted chocolates. He has a bouquet of red roses in his right paw. It was so sweet - I almost cried. I grabbed my cell and called my Valentine to thank him.
I love you, Marc - for always.....Melodie

That's very nice and incredibly thoughtful! I remember dad was always gone over Valentine's Day when he had to be in Florida and would have things delivered to mom. At the time I thought it was sickening and too mushy but now that I'm married my perspective has changed!

Very romantic! I've often wondered if the "Vermont Teddy Bears" were all they are cracked up to be and it seems they are! What a cute bear, and who can say no to chocolate. NOT ME!

AWWW! How sweet and thoughtful. As I read this out-loud to my Phillip he said, "Did I get you anything for Valentine's day, I cannot remember?" (He was out of town on that day). And I said, "YES!!! You bought me 3 pairs of cute shoes and and a nice Colombian leather purse!" Then he said, "Wow! I did go all out, didn't I?" =D Isn't it wonderful to have such AWESOME husbands?! =)

Lest my last comment make my Phillip look brainless...you have to know that while he was gone from me over Valentine's day...that he was preaching 3 times a day, so he was running so fast he couldn't remember if he had gotten me something or not. =)

Sweet! My valentine got me a white Boyd's Bear that's holding a red "I love you" cut out of flannel and 3 pale pink roses. That was our 35th valentine. (37th if you count if you count dating and engagement) So see what you have to look forward to!

I MISSED THIS POST!!! I didn't know about this. Aww...Marc, that is adorable of you to have done this for my sister. I love you even more for taking such good care of her on this "rough" Valentine's Day. Melodie...you have a great guy. I have thought that since I was about 9 years old. =) Love you both...
