Every Eight Hours

This is what you'll find me doing...every eight hours. The infusions are going well - we have 2 more days of them. The central line comes out Friday afternoon, if all goes as planned. Thank the Lord we've had no problems with the line - I'm really glad.

Logan had his 3rd CT scan this morning; tomorrow we see the Infectious Disease doctor and the ENT on Friday. We're hoping and praying that these extra days of IV antibiotics have cleared up the infection enough for Logan to be able to travel to Central America next week.

We are still seeing improvement in the appearance of the eye: less swelling and discoloration.

Everything's ready to go

Nothing like a crash course in nursing, huh? Looks like you are doing a great job. We all have been praying for him, even Ryan's entire class at school. We are so glad he is getting better.

I think the Play, Play ,Play looks much more fun than the nursing! Looks like you are very organized and getting the job done well! So glad he is improving! We'll keep praying! Love, Janella

Wow, Melodie...I'm sooo proud of you. Looks like you've got the "hang" of it. Pardon the pun. A mother will give her life for her "cubs", huh? We DO what we have to DO!!! And you are the best. Love, Mom PS See you soon, Lord willing.

Melodie, you are doing a great job. It isn't always fun to be the "nurse-mom", but you are doing great! I am so glad that everything is going good through all of the infusions. Hopefully, tomorrow he will get a good report and you won't have to worry about your trip anymore. Of course, then you have to go home and do laundry, repack and leave in a few hours. So..I am sure you will be glad when the plane leaves the ground. Then maybe you can relax a little bit.

I love you and am proud of you...Missy

Good job, Melodie! You are an awesome Mom!

Also, I am so proud of Logan! You can be sure there are lots of things he would rather be doing, but he is hanging in there so well!

I love you both so much!

Melodie,
You are a great mom - always taking things in stride, without complaining. You are doing so well with your newly added responsiblities! Hope things continue to go well.

So glad things are improving - we never know what what a day will bring, do we?!
Keep up the good work, Melodie - you are doing great for not "liking" needles! The nurturing instinct God has given mothers is stronger than any fear - and you are proof!!!
Love, Rebecca

Wow! Melodie, you look like a natural :) Maybe you should consider nursing school when your boys are grown...haha! Seriously, from this nurse's point of view, everything looks in order. Wish all my patients were as smart and organized as you!
We continue to pray for Logan and your entire family. Hang in there.

Just got off the phone with Marc...and I'm so sorry to hear Logan is back in the hospital. This has been an awfully tough trial, I know you're not complaining, but the truth is, it hasn't been easy. All of us down here are praying, and remember that whatever we can do on this end, please holler. See you in a few days, Lord willing!
