Home in Heaven

This is a sad day for our family, but also a day of rejoicing. My Grandpa, Eli Miller, has gone home to be with Jesus. He is now in the presence of the One for whom he was willing to cut all family ties, for whom he was willing to leave the Amish way of life and the traditions he had been raised with. He desired more to know that he had peace with God and to set a new direction for his family. I remember Grandpa expressing on more than one occasion: "I'm not sorry that I made those decisions - if need be, I'd make them all over again."
We'll miss you, Grandpa. We love you. ~ Melodie

Melodie, soooo sorry about the passing of your grandpa...but sooo glad that he did make that choice to serve Jesus, and to raise his family for Him too! Glad that He has made his home in Heaven now!

Love, and prayers for your family during this time,
Heather

Melodie and family, we are praying for you all during this time of bereavement. Even as we talked on Sunday night, you were expecting this, but it doesn't make it any easier when it actually happens. Heaven becomes more real to us with the passing of each of our loved ones, doesn't it? Make you each find His consoling Presence with you during these days.

We love you,
Collette and Philip

Melodie, you write from your heart and do it magnificently. What a sweet tribute to your grandfather. I thank him for making the choices he did for many reasons, the least of which, for without that decision I probably would not have you for the most wonderful daughter in love in all the world....God's ways are perfect and your grandpa has tasted and seen that the Lord is so good. We love you all. Mom
