Rough Day

Logan had a rough day yesterday. He was very nauseated and vomiting most of the day. He had a PICC line inserted that had to be immediately removed because it burst. I cannot tell you how scary that was, for all of us. The PICC line is supposed to be re-inserted by a doctor we know and trust on Thursday.

Another opthmalogist has been called in to consult on Logan's case. The ENTs cannot figure out exactly why the eye is swelling and bulging again. He was put back on steroids last night and already the eye has receded some back into orbit, and looks better. It has begun to give him quite a bit of pain when it bulges.

As of now, he's still in the hospital and will be until the next step is decided. Please keep praying for him.

Thank you so much for all of your comments on my blog. I have been so encouraged this morning as I have had a few minutes to read them. Also the emails and phone calls to let us know you're praying.

Marc and Melodie -
Words fail in expressing how much we care and are concerned, yet as I ponder words of encouragement to share, I am gently guided by our Heavenly Father to PRAY - He has promised that he understands our deepest cries of frustration, fear, and our frailties, and HE HAS PROMISED TO BE AVAILABLE.
Today, know that you are in our hearts and prayers.

Love,
Steve & Rebecca

Dearest Children,
My heart is aching for you and all your many frustrations, with concerns for you all and Logan. Even my doctor is concerned and asks about "my grandson" daily. Our prayers are with you. And besides all that, Melodie....I do hope that you have a very happy birthday. I promise we will celebrate when this is all over. Love, Mom

So sorry to hear about Logan. I hadn't read your blog for a while until now. Praying that the doctors can get this figured out!

Happy Birthday to you, Melodie!

Melodie,
One more thing - steveandrebecca mentioned in their comment that God has promised to "be available." I love that fact, and it has meant even more after I read the scripture about God being "an ever present help in trouble." NIV (I believe) translates that "abundantly available." Thank God!
Love, Liz

Deu 33:27 - "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them."

Right now the enemy includes the bacteria or whatever is causing this problem. But He "shall thrust out the enemy."

A good promise to hold onto.

Marc & Melodie,
My heart aches for you all each time I learn that Logan is still struggling. I keep thinking of a phrase from II Corinthians: "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness...". I'm praying that light will shine into the darkness of this situation, and bring healing.
Love and many prayers,
Judith

There are no words to tell you how much this breaks my heart. I am so sorry that you guys are all going through this. I wish there was a way that I could help you, but please remember that I am praying for you. I am going to share my verse with you again. It pulled me through many of the rough times when Braxton got hurt.

Psalms 56:11...In God have I put my trust: I will NOT be afraid!

I love you very much and I am so proud of you...

I cannot imagine what you all are going through right now with little Logan. I think of you often during the day here and wonder how your day is going. You have so many people praying for you all right now. Some have even posted prayer requests on their blogs! It is encouraging to me just to read everyone's comments and "promises" that they sent you! Continuing to pray for you all! Keep up posted!!

Hope you had a nice birthday Melodie... considering the circumstances!

Sending many hugs and prayers for you all as you face each day. Last night visiting with Marta and Chiro and family, they expressed their deep concern and wanted us to let you know they are holding you up in their prayers. They're not the only ones....all the hermanos here and in Cuchicuato have specifically asked us to convey to you their love, and that they know God is going to intervene on Logan's behalf. If your faith feels small today, remember that you have many who are carrying your situation and bringing it before the Master, just like in the case of the paralytic and his four friends.

We love you and miss you so much.

Dear Marc and Melodie, please know how concerned Carol and I are for you, Logan--and indeed for all your family. The agony you folks have been experiencing is terrible, and we pray that God will touch your son, lift the load, and surround you with His grace and peace. Be assured that our love, thoughts, and prayers and with you.--Larry and Carol (Wiseman) Smith, GBS
