Slight Schedule Change

So fun to get mail - this one's a letter from cousin Ryland

As it goes with doctors, hospitals, and schedules, we have a slight change in the schedule. Logan had another CT scan done today with VTI imaging, with and without contrast. This was done on the most high-tech machine in the Valley, allowing the biopsy process, if needed, to be exactly precise.

We are to bring Logan in to see both his specialists tomorrow afternoon, at which time we'll discuss the findings of the CT and plan the next step.

I do not say this as a "diagnosis" in any way, just as a mom reporting what she sees. When Logan's eye should be increasingly bulging and ready to "pop", it's not happening. It is not worsening - not at all. He has been off the steroids for a week which normally causes his eye to approach emergency status. His eye is prominent, but not bulging as before.

I cannot know what the doctors will say tomorrow afternoon, nor what the biopsy may reveal. All I know is that we are summoning every bit of strength to remain calm, to trust in God, to hope for the best, to take care of our little boy, and to walk the path that, for whatever reason, He has spread before us. I know that God's people are praying and as my mother reminded me just a couple days ago, "God never turns a deaf ear." I know He is working out His purpose.

I also know that the prayer of a righteous person avails much - right now your prayers are, among other things, chasing away the enemy, the fear, and the uncertainty and bringing us hope. Keep praying, please.

We are continuing to hold you up before our Father - every day - believing that He is not only a promise maker but a promise keeper! As righteous children of our Heavenly Father, we have a direct connection to the heart of God and His promises! "The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears are open to their cry" (Ps. 34:15).

Love you all,
Steve and Rebecca

You have been constantly in our prayers here. We know God is helping although we may not see the complete picture right now. One of my favorite verses... Is. 59:1 "Behold the arm of the Lord is not shortened that it cannot save, neither is his ear heavy that it cannot hear." There are so many other verses that we could quote, but you know them better than I, no doubt. Just know we are praying and "the eternal God is thy refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms." Love you lots and lots!!!

Surely good signs are in the air! We are trusting so, and hoping in the Lord that you can soon begin to put all this behind you. You're in our thoughts and prayers daily.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on how things are going. We are thinking and praying for you all! You must be doing a very good work for God there in Mexico because the devil fights the hardest when he is afraid. Just remember God is ALWAYS is in control. He never looses track of what is happening. We wish you only the best.

And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall your hearts andminds through Christ Jesus. Whatesoever things are true, Whatsoever things are hinest, Whatsoever things arejust, Whatsoever things are lovely, Whatsoever things are of a god report, if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things. Phil 4:7,8. I am not going the same things as you but this verse was brought to my attention and I plan on using it often to battle satan when he tries to tear down what I believe. I know that Lord will be with you. You are in my prayers.

Hello Melodie,
I've never met you, but know who both your parents & in~laws are. I believe I've seen you at IHC in the past. I wanted to let you know that our Church family has been lifting Logan & your entire family up to our GREAT PHYSICIAN!! We know a little of what you are going through as my husband also has the MRSA infection and is right now going through his second bout with it! He was to the doctor today and if he isn't better by tomorrow when he goes back for a follow~up visit he will be admitted to the hospital. I can't imagine what it would be like going through this with your child!! Your spouse is bad enough! Be encouraged as I know there's lots of people praying for all of you!!!
