We arrived safely in Bedford, Indiana Saturday evening and have already had a great time with Marc's parents and grandmother, and also 2 of my sisters and their families. We enjoyed wonderful services at Faith Mission Church yesterday and are getting ready for a Memorial Day picnic right now (despite the rain!).
I hope your Memorial Day is good - thanks for your comments and welcome notes. It's so good to be "home" (wherever that is...)

School of Tomorrow 3rd Grade Score Keys
Need score keys?
I have the complete set of 3rd grade score keys 1025 - 1036 for these subjects:
Math
Bible Reading
Literature and Creative Writing
Science
Social Studies
Word Building
English - Keys 1030 - 1036
I also have 4th grade Word Building - Keys 1037 - 1048.
I would love to donate these to a homeschool family or a Christian School that could use them. However, because we are moving from our apartment next week, I need to know as soon as possible if you'd like to have them. I would only ask the charge to ship them and I can let you know that if you're interested.
I would need to hear from you at the latest by Monday afternoon. Otherwise I'll have to go some other direction with them.
You may email me at melodiesankey@yahoo.com to discuss them.
Have a good weekend!
Melodie
Notice! Monday afternoon update: The score keys have been spoken for and are being mailed today. Thanks for your inquiries!

Wednesday update
Hi, it's Wednesday, and "lonely me" is surviving so far. Just a few more days to go until Marc returns home! I can't wait.
So much to do in the next week or two. I'm organizing, packing up, sorting things in this apartment to be ready to leave on deputation in about 1 week and a half. In the meantime, we're planning to help the Stetlers move to Saltillo! ....like I said, so much to do! But I've made good progress today so we'll see what happens.
I also sent out our May Missionary Newsletter today. If you don't receive that and would like to, just drop me an email at melodiesankey@yahoo.com.
Marc and Steve are doing well in Oaxaca. The past few days have been full of preaching, testifying and singing in Spanish, driving and hiking to visit mountain churches, visiting with pastors, eating Oaxacan food (which my husband tells me is quite different), taking lots of pictures, etc.....
The heat and humidity today have been unreal here. My vehicle thermometer said 99F. Beth and I walked out of Wal-mart and just had to catch our breath for a second...it felt like you were breathing water - hot water!
Hasta luego.....

I love this relaxed pic of my boys with one of their friends, Joshua Lopez. He and his 4 siblings were neighbors of ours and great friends of our boys! We miss them!
Hasta luego.....

Answer to Prayer
I just have to share this answer to prayer. We just received word that a charity organization has paid in full for one of Logan's hospital stays - the 10 day stay at Rio Grande Regional Hospital! The bill totaled $75,000; was reduced to $44,000 and then that amount was paid by the charity organization.
We are so thankful - words do not express it.
Of course, there are other expenses still outstanding, but we are so glad to have this one taken care of! God is good, all the time!

Update on the Travelers
I talked to Marc this morning by phone....he and Steve arrived safely Saturday night in the Ciudad de Oaxaca, had a great day yesterday, enjoying the Sunday morning service at the church with Pastor Benito and family, then traveled 2-3 hours up the mountain for the afternoon service at Jayacatlan with Pastor Alex. They arrived back in Oaxaca City where they were staying at the home of Enrique Braulio very late last night and were up early this morning, preparing for the 6 hour drive across the mountains south to San Gabriel. They'll be having a service this evening there with Pastor Desiderio, then traveling and hiking to many of the mountain churches on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday will find them heading north to the revival in Pedregales - central Mexico. Their plan is to arrive back here in Edinburg by Monday evening sometime.
If you'd like to see pictures of the places they're visiting, check out the missions blog at http://www.mexicobiblemethodistmissions.blogspot.com/ You'll be able to view pictures of the churches and pastors they're visiting.
Please keep them in your prayers!

My Mother's Day Surprise
As you know, my husband is in Oaxaca.....not with me on Mother's Day. Before he left, he told me that I was not to look in the hall closet until Sunday morning. Here's what I found....a huge gift basket full of all kinds of goodies! Chocolates, nuts, snacks......plus 2 wonderful cards; one from him and one from my boys. Thanks, honey! I miss you. Come home soon!
Me and the great guys who make me a mom.....love you, boys!
(As you can see, Logan got glasses....he's much happier now!)
Happy Mother's Day!
First to my mother, Jan Miller. Even though we are not together today, you're close in my heart. Thank you for your love and sacrifice and for your mothering that shaped my life. Every late night snack, every kissed skinned knee, every load of clean laundry, every lullaby sung, every prayer prayed and tear cried - thank you for everything. I realize more every day how blessed I am to have you for my mother. Your positive attitude and commitment to God and your family have influenced my life more than I can tell you. I wish you a happy Mother's Day. I love you, Mama.
Also to my mother-in-law, Janet Sankey. Many miles separate us, but then you understand that, don't you? You spent many Mother's Days away from your mother, far away on a mission field. You're close in my heart today. You have mothered the most wonderful man to be my husband - I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for giving me your son for these almost 16 years. Your generous and loving spirit have been a wonderful example to me and I wish for you a happy Mother's Day. I love you, Mom.

Headed for Oaxaca
Marc and Steve left at 8 this morning to visit our Bible Methodist churches and pastors in Oaxaca (southern Mexico). That's the first leg of this 10 day trip. They'll be attending the revival in Pedregales (central Mexico) next weekend on their way back north.
They have many miles to cover and many people to make connections with, introducing Steve to the rest of our Bible Methodist pastors and people.
Please pray for traveling protection for them and that God would make them a blessing to our people! (And you could pray for Beth and me and the kids who are already missing them!)
Steve's Graduation
Our brother in law and missionary coworker, Steve Stetler graduated from the Spanish Language School here at Rio Grande Bible Institute. He was chosen to read the Scripture in Spanish at the graduation ceremony last night and did a wonderful job.
Congratulations, Steve, on a job well done!

Share Support Tour
First of all, we would like to praise the Lord for His touch on our son, Logan. He has been now 6 days without any antibiotics and there is no sign of the MRSA infection he has been fighting for months! Thank you so much for your prayers for him - the outpouring of love and prayer support for our family has been tremendous. Logan still has some issues with his eye, but as for now, we are thankful for this wonderful progress!
The doctors have worked out a treatment plan for Logan to cover this summer and fall that will allow us to travel north and raise our family's Share Support for our missionary work in Mexico. We are planning to be present at all the Bible Methodist Camps this summer and will be making scheduled visits to our Bible Methodist Churches in the fall.
We are available for Share Support Services. If your church is not a Bible Methodist church, but would have interest in our family coming to present Bible Methodist Missions in Mexico, please contact us. You may email us at marcsankey@yahoo.com, melodiesankey@yahoo.com, or contact us by phone at 956.566.3929.
May God bless you!

School's Out
My boys and I finished up our year of homeschool this morning and are we ever glad! They were up early (their choice) this morning, getting everything done. I'm so proud them. They've had a crazy year - lots of interruptions and changes - but they've worked so hard to get finished and have done great. Love you, guys!
Goodbye, 7th, 5th and 3rd grade!
